TechXploration Provides Opportunities for Discovery and Collaboration

The Collaborative Technologies Team and Information Systems sponsored an event on April 18th, called TechXploration.

The idea behind TechXploration was to provide opportunities for faculty in different disciplines to have conversations with each other about
how technology is being used at Wake Forest. By having these conversations with one another and getting the chance to learn what colleagues in other departments are doing, we hope the possibilities of collaboration and inspiration were abundant.

The poster session event included topics from computer science, math, biology, library science, digital publishing and ebooks, english, the humanities, information systems, health and exercise science, the teaching and learning center, the schools of business, theater, communication, and art.

TechXploration took place in Benson University Center with food and lively interaction for three hours. With more than 140 people in attendance our hope is that meaningful, helpful, and inspiring conversations took place and that this event will help the faculty on our campus feel more connected and informed about one another’s work.

If you have suggestions for next year’s TechXploration, please send them to ctt@wfu.edu.
